8U Mite Hockey

Our 8U program is based on the guidance and standards of USA Hockey's American Development Model. A focus on skating and skill development all while building a love of hockey.

This program is for players born in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and have completed a Learn to Play or Learn to Skate program.

We hold evaluations to form our team on July 11th at 1 PM at the John M. Coyne Ice Rink. Practices begin the first week after Labor Day and the season runs until the middle of February.

Practices are play at the John M. Coyne Rec Center and Garfield Ice Rink. All home games are played at the John M. Coyne Rec Center in Brooklyn, OH.

Our 8U program will practice and play home games 2-3 times per week.

Our 8U teams will play 4-on-4 half-ice games against teams from other clubs in the area. Teams are comprised of 9-10 players.

Our 8U program utilizes silk screened practice type jerseys to help keep costs more affordable. Players in this program must purchase these home and away jerseys and socks. These costs are not included in the Club Season fees.

Additional Costs

Your team may vote to participate in jamborees (similar to tournaments). These costs along with jerseys and socks are in addition to Club Season fees.
