The Cleveland Sharks 8U Hockey Team is based on the guidance and standards of USA Hockey's American Development Model.
Our focus is on:

Ages
The Cleveland Sharks 8U team is for players that were born in 2018, 2019 or 2020 that have completed a Learn to Play and/or Learn to Skate program or have previously played at the 8U Mite level.
When
Practices begin the first week after Labor Day & the season runs until the middle of February.
Practices
Practices are held at:
John M. Coyne Rec Center in Brooklyn, OH
&
Dan Kostel Ice Rink in Garfield Heights, OH
Games
All Home Games are held at John M. Coyne Recreation Center in Brooklyn, OH.
Away Games are at different ice rinks in the Greater Cleveland Area.
Setup of Games
The Cleveland Sharks 8U team plays a 4-on-4 half ice game with a goalie. Players are changed every 2 minutes when the horn sounds so all players can learn.
Jerseys
Players on the Cleveland Sharks 8U team must purchase home and away jerseys and socks.
These costs are not included in the Club Season fees.
Additional Costs
Your team may elect to play in jamborees (similar to tournaments).
These costs are not included in the Club Season fees.
Your Head Coach and/or Team Manager will provide more information at the appropriate time.

Registrations are now open for our 8U Sharks Evaluation!
We will host our 8U evaluation on Saturday March 22nd at 9 AM. The evaluation will take place at the John M. Coyne Rec Center located at 7600 Memphis Ave. Brooklyn, OH 44144.
