Sharks Pre/Post Hockey
Our Sharks’ Pre/Post Program is for 14U, 16U, and 18U aged players before and after their high school season. The Sharks will be fielding one16U Major Team and one 18U Major Team, for the fall, that will play in local tournaments and games, occasionally a travel tournament, and practices.
Ages
16U is open to players born between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2010.
18U is open to players born between January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2010.
Please note, if your player is a 2007 birth year or earlier, he/she will be required to take the Safe Sport Core Training or Refresher Course prior to participation for the 2024-2025 season. This course is only valid for one season and a refresher is required every season thereafter.
When
Evaluation Skates will be held at the Brooklyn Rec Center located at 7600 Memphis Ave..
16U Evaluation Skate: August 10th from 1:30-2:30 PM
18U Evaluation Skate: August 10th from 2:45-3:45 PM
Where
Tournaments and games will be played at various rinks.
Practices
Teams will have a practice(s) and they will be announced after rosters are set.
Games
Each team will participate in a total of 12-15 games.
Jerseys
Jerseys will be provided for use and return at the end of the season. Any unreturned jerseys will result in a charge to the account for the full amount of the jersey.
Coaching Staff
We are excited to announce Head Coach Charlie Swartwood for our 18U Major Team. Mike Glover is returning as our 16U Major Team Head Coach.
Pre/Post Fall 2024
The Cleveland Sharks are proud to announce our 2024 Fall Evaluation Skate for our High School Pre/Post 18U and 16U Aged Teams on Saturday, August 10th at 1:30-2:30 PM for 16U and 2:45-3:45 PM for 18U.
The Evaluation skate will take place at the Brooklyn Rec Center located at 7600 Memphis Ave., Brooklyn, OH 44144.
Cost for the evaluation is $50.00 and must be paid in advance and online at the time of registration.
NO cash or checks will be accepted.
We will be looking to field 2 Pre/Post Teams for the Fall.
Players will participate in 12-15 games with 5-8 practices. Focus will be on preparing players for their high school seasons. All games will be local and conclude by October 31, 2024.
If the player is placed on a team following the evaluation, the cost will be $450 for skaters and $300 for goalies when rostered.
