Sharks Pre/Post Hockey
Our Sharks’ Pre/Post Program is for players in the 2007-2011 age range, and takes place before and after their high school season. We will be fielding one 18U Major Team and one 16U Major Team this Fall, to play in local tournaments with other games, practices and skills sessions built in.
Ages
16U is open to players born between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2011.
18U is open to players born between January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2011.
Please note, if your player is a 2008 birth year or earlier, he/she will be required to take the Safe Sport Core Training or Refresher Course prior to participation for the 2025-2026 season. This course is only valid for one season and a refresher is required every season thereafter.
When
Evaluation Skates will be held at the Brooklyn Rec Center located at 7600 Memphis Ave. **UPDATE: Two evaluation skates will be held for each age group. Tryout dates & times remain the same as listed below.**
18U/16U Evaluation Skate 1
Monday, August 18th 8:45-9:45 PM
18U/16U Evaluation Skate 2
Thursday, August 21st 8:45-9:45 PM
Where
Tournaments will be in-state with games played at the Brooklyn Rec Center and other local rinks.
Practices
Practices will be announced once rosters are set and will take place at the John M. Coyne Rec Center.
Games
Each team will participate in a minimum of 12 games plus practices. All tournaments will be played in-state with games played at the John M. Coyne Rec Center and other local rinks.
Jerseys
Jerseys will be provided for use and return at the end of the season. Any unreturned jerseys will result in a charge to the account for the full amount of the jersey.
Coaching Staff
We are excited to welcome Coaches Mike Bell and Tim Schutte to the Sharks. We are also excited to welcome back Coach Craig Massello. These coaches will be leading our Pre/Post Program this fall.
Pre/Post Fall 2025
The Cleveland Sharks are proud to announce our 2025 Fall Evaluation Skate for our High School Pre/Post 18U and 16U Aged Teams on Monday, August 18th at 8:45-9:45 PM for 16U and Thursday, August 21st 8:45-9:45 PM for 18U.
The Evaluation skate will take place at the Brooklyn Rec Center located at 7600 Memphis Ave., Brooklyn, OH 44144.
Cost for the evaluation is $50.00 and must be paid in advance and online at the time of registration.
NO cash or checks will be accepted.
We will be looking to field 2 Pre/Post Teams for the Fall.
Players will participate in a minimum of 12 games plus practices. Focus will be on preparing players for their high school seasons. All games will be local and conclude by October 31, 2025.
If the player is placed on a team following the evaluation, the cost will be $450 for skaters and $300 for goalies when rostered.
